    I just came to Salvador for two weeks, live in Nazaré, and I love wandering around the city.

    On Av. J. J. Seabra, do you know what the huge abandoned palace on the on the eastern side is? The yellow one with the steps, the closed iron gate and the inscription "Lar Franciscano Sta. Izabel"?

    And further down is this concrete building out of concrete, also abandoned, but you can still see the great stucco decoration inside, it looks like a cinema from the 1930s or so.

    Great city indeed!
